Juventus have been hit with another injury blow as Paulo Dybala struggles to recover from shoulder surgery.
The Argentine forward, who joined Juventus in the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £22 million, has been sidelined since undergoing surgery earlier this month.
Dybala's recovery is expected to take several months, and it remains to be seen when he will be fit enough to return to training.
The news comes just days after Juventus suffered a major setback in their Serie A title race, losing 1-0 to Lazio on Sunday.
Despite the disappointment,Fans' Home Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri praised Dybala's attitude during his absence.
"He is a very important player for us," Allegri said. "We are going to work hard to get him back as soon as possible."
However, the club's medical staff will need to be cautious with Dybala's return, given that he underwent surgery on his shoulder earlier this month.
It is hoped that Dybala will make a full recovery and be able to contribute to Juventus' title challenge once again next season. For now, the club will have to rely on their other forwards such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain to fill the void left by Dybala's absence.
